The last thing my husband said to me last night before going to sleep was ‘we can’t do everything’.
You may wonder why I’m writing a post about this, well this week, and last week for that matter, time has got the better of me. There’s hardly been time, due to working long hours, to do anything. I laid in bed bemoaning the fact that the bathroom was not up to it’s normal unclean standards, it was worse! I’ve long held on to the notion that I’m superwoman and I have trouble thinking otherwise, even though I know it’s an impossibility without help.
So what’s a girl to do, hire someone to do the cleaning? If I was self employed and my time was best spent working, then I perhaps would do, but I’m on a salary and money spent on a cleaning is money not in our escape fund.
The house can stay unclean, who wants to clean when you can read blogs for hours anyway! Lets just hope we don’t have visitors

An ex-neighbour of ours had a sign in her kitchen which stated that ‘Boring women have clean homes’.
There’s certainly nothing boring about our life in the Algarve!

I am struggling with this, too. There seems so much to do, and not enough time to do it in. (And my new addiction to blogging does not help!) Just remember that there’s a difference between an “untidy” house and a “dirty” house!
