{Stanley Park Boathouse}
Vancouver has a brilliant mix of city, water and the outdoors and although it’s not a cheap city to visit and we found the attractions quite expensive, the transport around the city is good value for money and of course there’s always walking, which we did, a lot. Also, as you can see from the pictures we picked a beautiful weather week.

{Capilano Suspension Bridge}
Getting there:
- We flew into Vancouver International Airport {YVR} from London on Air Canada {the best airline we’ve ever travelled with} and due to the excellent service and in flight movies the nine hour flight flew by!
- Transport into Downtown Vancouver via Vancouver Airport Skytrain; easy to use and inexpensive.
Visited:
- Stanley Park
- Canada Place
- Gastown
- Capilano Suspension Bridge – Waterfront Station Sea Bus to Lonsdale Quay, North Vancouver [$9 return] and then hop on a number #236 bus
- Vancouver Art Gallery
- English Bay Beach
- Granville Island - Aquabus across False Creek Inlet
- Vancouver Lookout
Eating Out:
- To be honest we did most of our eating at Urban Fare on Alberni Street as it was close to our hotel and we didn’t have the energy to go anywhere else; the 8 hour time difference and all the walking really knocked us out.
Vancouver verdict: wonderful and worth a second trip!
PS. For those of you in the know as to my real reason for travelling 5000 miles to visit Vancouver, there was not one sighting of Josh Jackson all week

Yeah for great reviews of my home town!!
Glad you liked your visit. I’ve never seen Josh Jackdon but I have seen loads of other movie stars.
It is expensive here but I like it too much too much to move right now.
