My mind is all over the place, I’m either procrastinating or starting something and getting sidetracked. My wardrobe sort out escalated into a whole bedroom move around, which if I’m not careful could lead to my daughters bedroom and so on…The only thing to do is to make a public list of jobs to complete before the end of the month.
Around the Home:
Join Freecycle
-I want to pass on, if they take them, a hardly used 15 tog duvet, it’s too heavy for me.
-A pine bookcase, selling most of our books on Amazon has left it redundant.
Insulation
-Get a quote, as we have none in the roof!
-See if we can get a grant
New Bathroom Window
-Get a quote, as ours might fall out soon!
Organisation:
Christmas
-Do a Christmas List/Budget, Simple Mom has excellent guides here and here

Have you thought about donating to charities instead of freecycle? I know charities have taken a hit since ebay/freecycle and I’ve heard that some people go on freecyce, get stuff for nothing, then sell it on! That’s really put me off.
Jx
oh..thats put me off..I’m not sure if the Charity shop will take my duvet, I’ll need to find out
thanks Jade
I too have passed on Freecycle for the same reason. I just donated a bunch of good stuff to charity. I downsized recently and wanted others to have my furniture. The local women’s shelter took everything.
What great goals you have set! I like how they are front and center on yoru blog.
I’m so glad you liked the interview with the family Smudge on The Life Less Traveled!
I need to start on my to do list for october… or I’ll end up, as always, just changing the name of the list to “November’s to do list”.
Jade of the Jungle – Good point, I never thought of that.
I’m not sure why you dislike/distrust freecycle?? I have “donated” several things to people in my community and feel that the items are sometimes not used/sold at charity shops because the right buyer doesn’t happen to find them. Maybe I just have some unusual items? I help charities also, but if I have some left over wool fleece that needs to find a spinner, I’m not going to donate it to a charity–they may throw it out not recognize it or put it into plastic(where it may felt into an unusable blob). I also like the idea of sharing with my community. I have gotten fruit from their trees- etc. It is a wonderful way to feel closer to others in an age when neighbors don’t have the time to get to know each other.
