I’ve started my stockpile and so far so good. I spent about £40 more than normal on my grocery bill in January and I’ll probably do about the same this month.
I’ve bought some things, like the tomato ketchup and coffee, when it’s been on offer, but other things, like the baked beans I just bought at normal price from Aldi (29p). I saved about £20 on the coffee so in the long run this should all pay off.

Good job! I love my stockpiled cupboard! I can always find something to cook and it has got us by during some very, very lean months! Take care.

I stock pile items like beans, rice and broths especially when they are on sale. It’s nice to know I can go for a month without shopping if I needed to.

I’m getting rid of my pantry, instead of saving me money I ended up spending more and having way too much stuff. It didn’t save me any money. I’m still using canned tomatoes I bought on sale months ago.
Instead I have a shopping list for specific recipes, when I cook I buy only what I need.
I do watch the sales and only buy things like tolietpaper when they go on sale. But other than I rarely stock up anymore.
