The next six months

in goals

I’m a little late but we’re half way through the year so it’s time to review my progress over the last six months and set out some aims for the next six.

My post in January set out two main goals {below} and I’m sort of on track for both; I’m waiting on an interview, after passing the telephone interview stage, for a job I would really like, and I’ve lost 16lbs {so far}.

  • Lose weight – 40lbs by end December
  • Get a job – by end June
  •

    If I don’t get the job then I’m going to keep looking for one, it’s time; I’ve reached a budget level I’m comfortable with and the only way to save more is to increase our earnings. Weight wise, 40lbs remains the target for 2010, 24lbs to go; totally doable if I behave ;-)

    Other things {I wanted} to do this year;

    I also want to make cupcakes, volunteer, read these books, ride a bike, go to Lisbon, go to New York, finish our house, recycle more, colour my hair, help my daughter revise, eat more vegetables, beautify my blog, use cash and keep the clutter away*

    I’m going to keep working on all the uncompleted items above and not add any more…It makes sense; finishing the house needs to be a priority.

    *I’m on top of the clutter…it’s just the paper that gets out of hand on occasions; where does it all come from?

    Are your goals for this year, work in progress like mine, or are you speeding ahead and getting things done?

    Great post! I haven’t even thought about reviewing my goals for this year, mostly because I know I’ve given up on them and don’t want to depress myself!

    You’re doing really well with your goals! 16lb weight loss is brilliant!!
    I don’t really record any goals but this year I’d like to get rid of more clutter and find more time for sewing. My daily taks list is going well and I think it’s helping me to get more done.

    I am not really sure how I am doing in terms of my goals for the year as I am not even sure I set any. Am doing very well with coming up with new goals though! and enjoying it all very much. I am still battling with the clutter though!
