The great mortgage pay off

March 1, 2008

in mortgage freedom

The March direct debit payment has gone through today and I sent the overpayment check for £600 three days ago so the new balance on our mortgage as of today is £131,270.

The percentage figures now stand at:

Abbey own 70.95% of the house

We own 29.05% of the house

The target date for owning 50% of the house is 31st December 2009

My favorite of your posts are the ones which document your mortgage progress. Does your lender impose any restrictions to the amount of overpayment you can include each month?

Nice job this month. Keep up the good work.

Well done on your goal and managing to pay off so much of your mortgage. Ours is interest only but we can pay any money of fthe balance each month that we like. I try to pay off £750 off a month at leats and we are also investing £580 in shares each month £100 in premium bonds and £50 in a bond account so we should be able to pay our mortgage off by the end of 2012.
