There are many things that we have cut out of our budget, but one thing that has stayed is an annual boiler service. We use a local Corgi Registered engineer who charges us a reasonable price, £75.

That’s so true. We signed up to the British Gas annual service and I’ve found that not only do you have fewer hidden or “surprise” costs, the response times are quicker in the case of an emergency.

Hi there-I pay monthly for emergency call outs and an annual boiler service, but as our boiler is less than 5 years old, I may just get an annual service done instead.
