Mortgage Overpayment

January 31, 2008

in mortgage freedom

I’ve sent a cheque off to the Abbey today for £600. This will take the mortgage balance to £132,130.

We now have 4 years, 5 months and 16 hours until our deadline. I’m not sure if the counter on our desktop is a good idea as the days seem to be going very quickly. And much as I want the mortgage to be paid off, I really don’t want time to go as quickly as it is!

Congratulations, another step closer.

It’s hard when you want something but you don’t want to wish your life away to get there. I find that my time, having got to where I want, is going even faster still!

Time is going quickly, that’s for sure…

I just try and make my time here in the UK as enjoyable and productive towards my future goals as possible – I think it’s important not to put your life into suspended animation for too long.

Congrats on another step closer!

You’re both right. If only we could stop, or slow down time!
