Now that spring has sprung and the outside is so much more inviting, I’ve developed an obsession with bike riding. This may be a passing fad so I’m going to try to pick up a cheap second hand one and see if I use it; bike riding has got to be more fun than walking!

Great idea starting out with a used bike. In fact, my family here in France has all these fabulous racing bikes (Tour de France fans and former bike shop owners etc). The thing is, when I just want to ride around town, do a few errands and leave the bike somewhere an expensive, racy bike is not practical at all.
I need something cheap with a mud guard and maybe a dorky basket for my shopping! I’m also hunting for something used. . . .
