Lazy days and….

in family love

We have nothing planned for today. Sometimes when you’ve had a busy week, you just need to spend a day relaxing. No cleaning, no washing and no home improvements. The only thing I have on my ‘to do list’ today, is cooking the Sunday roast and family time.
-It’s the last Sunday my eldest daughter is at home before she goes off to London and university life. I’ll be sad to see her go, however I’m very pleased she’s going. It’s taken two years longer than expected to get her there, as she was extremely ill when she was eighteen, totally losing her short term memory, and it’s taken nearly this long for her to fully recover, so instead of feeling sad that she is leaving home I’m glad. I’m sure she’s going to have a great time, and hopefully do some studying as well!

I’m sorry to hear that your daughter has been so ill but really pleased to hear that she is better and off on her next adventure in life.

I had a lazy day yesterday so today I have to whip my ass and get moving.

Lazy weekends are my favourite kind. There’s something inexplicably glorious about padding about all day in trackie bums (today I intend to bake scones and not a lot else).

Best of luck to your daughter, she’ll have a brilliant time! So sorry to hear she was unwell though. You know I read an article in the Guardian a few weeks back about a lady who’d lost her memory – the past 15 years of her life! She couldn’t even remember having her daughter. That really moved me, I’ve cut out and kept that article. Anyways, glad to hear your daughter’s doing well now.

Our daughter went off to college for the first time this fall, too. I’m glad your daughter is healthy and on her way! We noticed a significant decrease in the amount of laundry!! :)

Hi Laura
Its good that she is fit & well and can leave you but I would be the same. I cant imagine what its like around the place without them. I just pretend its not going to happen or dwell on the potential cooking or laundry decrease!
