I know that other bloggers have done it, but this year I’m attempting my own ‘not buying any clothes challenge’. I wanted to try this last year but I never got around to it and I would of failed miserably anyway. This year I feel so much more motivated to do it.
I want to reduce the amount of clothing I have as much as possible, and even though my wardrobe is not full to brimming with clothes, I still feel like I have too many. A year without buying any more will help to reduce it.

thanks for the mention
It had a huge impact on me, I learned a lot about myself, ’stuff’ and how little I really need!
Thats really cool Laura. I am going to have a bit of a wardrobe sort out & see whether I have more 'wearable' clothes than I am currently using. Inspirational as always!

Hi there-You can do this!! Best of luck my dear!
Well you have gone and done it now, LOL. You have inspire me to do the same. I have some motivation. We are going to Wales on holiday later this year and I need some spending money.
If you pop over to my blog you will find an award I have given you. You deserve it for the inspiration you give me.
@louise no problem, i’m hoping it does the same for me
@lizzie thank you, are you joining me in the challenge?
@sharon rose thank you
@margaret thank you – we can encourage each other, I’m including shoes and this may be were I need help!
I thought about it. But then I know I’d break it, so why bother putting that kind of pressure on myself?
I’ll follow your progress eagerly however!!!

I’m so tempted to do this as well. If I can lose the weight I’m trying too, then I will have so many of my older clothes to wear and it will be like a whole new wardrobe anyway.
Thanks fb

Hi. This is a nice challenge. I almost did it last year.
I still have clothes when I was in my twenties shh…I just can´t let go.

Quite the challenge – but I’m afraid i’d fail miserably… it’d just be too painful! Now, not buying books and cd’s / dvd’s – that for me might be achievable as I have been using the library…
Love your blog – I’m Portuguese/English, so I know the appeal of Portugal, although I am from the Algarve… and live in rainy England!
