Portugal: Over half way to moving

November 17, 2010

in moving abroad

I’ve tried to stop ‘clock watching’ over our move to Portugal as it wasn’t serving a purpose and wishing my time away is the last of my priorities.  However I can’t help but realise that we are now more than half way through our five year moving timescale and 2012 is really creeping up on us.  Some days this throws me into a panic, other days not so much and I take it all in my stride.

I busy myself most weeks by concentrating on my monthly mini goals, taking small steps towards reaching our long term financial goals and trying not to think about the logistics of the move as this is slightly overwhelming, however the adventure part is not, and that’s what makes it fun……there might even be a little mini adventure before we move to Portugal,  it just depends on a work situation.   I can’t really say more than this for now, however I will let you know if anything comes of it ;-)

Let me know your future adventure plans!

Doesn’t time fly! I remember back in 2004, when I wanted to be free by 2012, I thought that seemed like forever. Well, “forever”, is nearly upon us!

Maybe its just me (okay, it is) but the planning of the actual move, the finances etc all sound like fun.
I would be forever ‘ are we nearly there yet’….

Lizzie: It’s taken me some time to learn to let go of the ‘impatience’…and it’s not totally gone, but it was making life very difficult for me so I had to.
