Grocery challenge update

in frugal living

How am I doing on my ‘spend £100 on grocery over 4 weeks’ store cupboard challenge? Well so far I’ve spent £63.26 and there’s still 17 days to go! The cupboards are starting to look a little bare but we do have plenty of rice and pasta so with a little creative thinking we might make it.

We did the live off the pantry/freezer challenge for 3 months in early 2007. There were days I made a meal out of this and that and we thought, “Why are we eating this crap??” But we stuck to it and it got us through a very lean period financially! Your doing a great job and I love your blog! Good luck and happy New Year!

You can do it! I hope you have loads of fruits & veggies? You can often find some good priced frozen ones. How I wish me lived nearer, I'd bring you some soup. Not sure why soup, apart from it is good in winter and healthy and well now I'm rambling
