Crafting the lifestyle you want is not always easy; sometimes you have to put the {hard} work in to redress the over exuberance {!} of your earlier years; in my case this has been chronic over spending and chronic over eating.
There is no quick and easy solution; you have to have a goal and you have to do whatever it takes to keep a relentless focus on that goal until your target is reached; this has worked for me with paying off consumer debt and I hope now that it will work with weight loss.
We still have a goal to be mortgage free and live in Portugal, and I’m doing something small every day to work towards this, however my daily most important task is to focus on losing weight and getting fitter; to have the lifestyle I really crave, I need to do this.

I wonder where the weight and debt link comes from exactly. I began what ended up being a 30lb weight loss around the time I also got serious about paying down my debt. I’ve kept both the weight and the debt off since then and can’t imagine going back.
I also remember struggling for years and thinking it was so hard . . .and then, one day, it was just easy.
I hope the same is happening for you–it sounds like maybe it is–congratulations on loosing 13lbs–that’s a lot!

Thank you ladies!
@simpleinfrance I found I couldn’t do the debt and diet together, but I agree one day your mindset just changes and things become easy/ier – hopefully if has for me now with the eating
