February Mini Goals (Progress)
Financial:
- Make extra payments to reduce our mortgage to five figures – I added another £400 to our mortgage payment (due on the 1st March) and this will take our outstanding balance below £100,000! Yay!
- Make at least £300 above and beyond our normal income – So far this month I’ve earned an extra £6 from selling a book and a phone refund. I have other income in the pipeline, but so far nothing has been paid.
- Contribute £500 to our travel fund – Will be completed on Monday when hubby gets paid.
- Contribute at least £250 to our long term savings – As above.
- Keep our grocery spending to £150 by using up the food we have and sticking to our menu plan - So far this month I’ve spent £85.17 on grocery. We have a well stocked freezer and it looks like I’m going to be able to stay within budget.
Personal:
- Lose at least 5lbs (0/5) – Lost 1lb so far and need to do better!
- Watch at least 4 films – So far this month we’ve only watched Tinker Sailor Soldier Spy, so I have some catching up to do. This weekend it’s ‘I Don’t Know How She Does It’ with SJP – loved the book!
- Read at least 2 books (Hunger Games & Sarah’s Key) – I’ve finished The Hunger Games and nearly finished Sarah’s Key. I’ve developed a bad habit of reading 2/3 books at a time and it doesn’t work for me. So from now on one book at a time.
- Drink 1.5L of water everyday (0/29) – Big FAIL! Need to do better!
- Paint the small hall - Halfway through and hoping to finish at the weekend.

Great progress on the financial goals! As for the personal ones… you’ll catch up, don’t worry! Weight loss doesn’t happen on a schedule, our bodies can do weird things sometimes

Thanks Elizabeth – I need to stay off the scales. I tend to get on everyday and it causes frustration!

So happy for you re: the mortgage – and the grocery spending is admirable, too!
