As you know I gave up my job a couple of months ago. As you say 'life's too short'. I'm still not sure whether I'm retired or having a career break. It has meant we now have so much more time to concentrate on the important things: working on our new house in Portugal and garden. Despite the aches and pains of a more active lifestyle - I'm getting fitter and healthier. I sold my house in UK in order to buy over here and have plenty to live on and in order to renovate our place. I must admit not having the worry of renters is great but then you have the house to go back to if you rent it out. It's a difficult decision. I have recently finished a book called "The 4 hour work week" by Timothy Ferris - his arrogant style of writing will not suit everyone but there is lots of inspiring stuff in there for people wishing to move to find a better life. I keep re-reading bits to push myself along though the trials and tribulations of our own move to Portugal. I wish you a fun and peaceful journey to your new life in Portugal!
