I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this, but 2011 is my ‘make it happen, or get out’ year for working for myself; I’m never, fingers crossed, knock on wood and all that, going to return to the full time corporate world, but I do want to earn an income.
My problem, and this is perhaps true for a lot of people, I’ve spent far too long trying to come up with some big business idea instead of just picking something and actually doing it.

On this blog I’ll often write about paying off the mortgage or paying off consumer debt, but you’ll never see a post about investing. Why? Because I’ll admit I know next to nothing about it. I talk about debt because I know about debt….a lot, I know a lot about debt and how to pay it [...]

As you know I’ve been doing a lot of walking; me and my little pedometer trawling around the local area trying to get fitter; it quite happy because it gets carried, me not so!
Anyway last week while out and about I got to talking to somebody and he mentioned a part time job that was available in one of the local shops – how we got onto the subject of jobs I’ll never know, but before I knew it, I’d gone into said shop, filled in a form, had an interview and started working; yesterday I did my first shift.
