I was going to blog about this too. This is a totally unacceptable rise in my opinion. The regulator is toothless – in fact they are pretty much condoning this rise. It’s nothing short of a rip-off.
Come the summer BG will be making a big song and dance about how they are dropping prices – although when you look at it it’ll be about 5% – net gain for BG 10%.
On the plus side it may well act as a wakeup call to the British public to do something about it – like be more conservative with energy use – but somehow I think the public will just moan, tighten their belts and carry on paying.
