Book reading 2012 (January)

January 12, 2012

in 2012 goals,book reading

There seems to be a definite goals theme to all my posts this month…let’s hope the focus remains for all of 2012!

So book reading and my goal to read 20 books in 2012. This may not seem like too much of an ask (and it’s not), but I didn’t want every goal to be demanding! :)

This month I’m reading Water for Elephants and When God Was a Rabbit, as well as browsing the other books in the picture. The Rough Guide to New York City (just because!) and Eyewitness Travel Rome because we hope to take a trip to the city in June – my knowledge of Italy, and in particular Rome, is very poor. And Organized Simplicity because it focuses my mind on what’s important.

What books are you reading this month?

I really want to read When God Was A Rabbit, I’ll have to check out my library.

I just finished Bossypants by Tina Fey and I am starting the second book in The Hunger Games trilogy, Catching Fire. It’s so good.

There are just not enough years left in my life to ead all of the books I want to read, alas! I have 3 on the go right now – a crime novel (delicious), 7Money Rules (really well written and I’ll be talking more about it on my blog and a book about being an Introvert (can’t think of the title offhand) which is also a real page turner – I’ve learned more about myself from this book than from my 55 years of living!

I’m reading BBC Wildlife Magazines and Rosamunde Pilcher’s September.

I have a challenge to read a book a month. I think I’m doing ok with it.

I deliberately kept my reading goal for the year quite low – I sometimes try to do too much.

I have reviewed 4 books so far on my blog. Just read The Emancipation of Robert Sadler, will review that next week, it is a MUST READ . Have to finish of Mary Hunt’s “7 Money Rules for Life,” will review that probably next week as well, you will love that one.

I read a lot of books and the best thing is I get nearly all of them for free as I review them
