Bad Habits!

As I’ve moved towards a simpler, greener lifestyle there are certain things that I’ve tried to do, that make a small difference to how I live my life. Not massive things, just little stuff.

Lately I’m finding myself slipping back into bad habits; this is my public declaration to improve things-

  • I will no longer forget my tote bags when going to the supermarket
  • I will no longer use the car on small journeys
  • I will no longer waste food
  • I will no longer buy the odd ready meal

I was going to put eating cake on the list, but I’ve never stopped doing that!

Your turn to confess….

I will no longer ignore my health/stress issues and get to a doctor next week
I will no longer buy sweets for just in case….because then I eat them
I will no longer neglect to read my children stories and play games with them because I am reading blogs and surfing the net

I am what I eat and will try not to fill myself full of crap
I will drink two litres of water a day
I will always park my car out of town and walk in, to save on parking costs and help the environment a little ( I would walk all the way if we were close enough)

I’ve gotten into a really bad food schlump at the moment, so I’ve been trying extra hard this week to be good. Has it worked? Has it heck. I eat really well until about 4pm when the munchies hit and then it all goes horribly wrong. Oh well.

hmm, yes good plan.
1. I will stop buying things (the boots opened a small floodgate, as did Bub’s birthday) It is not large really, (apart from the boots) but just because it is small by comparison it doesnt mean it can continue!
2. I will resume my posture exercises
3. I will really really restrict the use of TV as a babysitter
4. could be another call for a cake avoidance mission. but that seems too much while all the birthdays are happening so am rainchecking that one until 27th October!!!!

@ RML..sweets just in case, I do this with chocolate!

@mo and @kat- i think once you get into any habit whether its good or bad it escalates. So a few days eating well or not spending will get us all back on track.
@rob..that cake does look amazing :-)

@apieceofwood..your weight loss is inspiring me…we are what we eat! so true, that why my bum is so big!! ;-)
