There’s something about putting away the decorations for another year that makes you want to suddenly spring clean the whole house. Or is that just me?
I took advantage of hubby being away this week to fully clean and tidy our bedroom. I washed and/or wiped down everything, hoovered the blinds, turned the mattress, cleaned out the wardrobes, edited our underwear drawers….
I found it quite therapeutic, even though I dislike cleaning…..and ironing apparently, which you’ll notice is you look at the after picture !

Spring cleaning: A frugal and calorie burning job!
Have you started a mad post Christmas de-clutter and clean?

Not just you Laura, I did a massive clearout even before the decorations went up! When the decorations came down I went into overdrive

I’m battling both an urge to declutter and a neverending cold – lots of mental enthusiasm (especially after writing today’s blogpost) but no physical energy to act!
I’m going to start small with what little energy I’ve got – even if I only declutter a drawer a day, it’s a start.

I’m envious of you. We were away for New Years, and this weekend I have cousins in town, attending a memorial service and a baby shower. No time to rip down the decorations yet, but when it comes, you can bet I’ll be cleaning!

Yes! A friend turned up unanounced to help with DVD and set-top box setup.
I was horrified at the amount of dust that had accumulated everywhere that I only seemed to notice when we started moving plugs, furniture around…embarrassing! As soon as she left ~ down came all Xmas decorations and a thorough cleaning began! Feel much clearer to start new year now:)~

Jennifer: moving furniture is never good in front of people, lol! I dread to think what’s behind my TV cupboard…perhaps I should look!!
