The 80 Day Project Update

As part of my 80 Day Project I’m trying to….

  • Stop multi-tasking
  • Eliminate non essential actions 
  • Slow down
  • Live in the present

….and it’s not easy as I’m even multitasking by trying to stop all these at once! ;-)

Okay, that cracks me up that you are multitasking at trying to stop multitasking! My organizer friend says that multitasking is the opposite of focus. I try to remember this, but it is tough to make the transition sometimes.

My “slow down” this month is to focus on what my doc calls gentle eating: chewing more slowly, appreciating the time it took to prepare the meal (including growing time of food), and putting the fork down between bites. It is amazing how much better the meal tastes when it is actually chewed instead of inhaled!

Honestly, I think making yourself aware of the stuff you’ve listed means you’re already halfway there.

LOL about the multitasking. I too need to slow it down. I think these are great goals.
