hey there, i'm back on-line and trying to catch up on some reading!!! I have to say, now that I'm back on the road, so to speak, I've ditched the make-up again. Problem solved. I might still make myself (out of scraps of material of course) a new bag anyways though!!!!!!

Jade is right, make-up brushes can be cleaned. I clean mine every couple of months in a gentle tea-tree oil and warm water combination. It gets rid of bacteria (as tea tree is anti-bacterial), and leaves the bristles lovely and good as new. You can get a much longer life out of them - a good thing if you want to invest in some expensive brushes.

hey there,
i dont have a comment about this particular post, but I was wondering if you could answer a few questions?? I am thinking of going to portugal this year and was wondering if you could recommend a phrase book for learning portuguese?? I have looked around and so far the two I like are the rough guides one and collins portuguese phrase book. I was wondering if you have ever used them and which one did you find helpful? Also if you have ever been to the azores and if you had a recommendation on which books are best for going there as well?

Brilliant, I'm going to have a go at this this week.

All I'd say is never throw away makeup brushes, they always end up having weird and wonderful uses....one of my old blusher brushes now cleans the other half's coffee maker and another ex-eyeliner brush I find is really good for getting dustbunnies out between they keys on my keyboard! If you have brushes that you love, you can also wash them in a bit of shampoo and dry them (flat, with the ends off the side of a table...if you dry them standing up it ruins the glue that holds the bristles in) and normally they're good as new again....(sorry, am a bit of a make up fiend)

Can't wait for Project No.3!!! :)

xxx
