Socks, socks, socks. How many pairs do we actually need? I think my husband may have over 50 pairs, my daughter too. I’m going to do this project myself as I’m quite sure that we will have lots of single miscellaneous socks.

To start:

  1. Collect them all up. Gather every sock in your house and put them on a table. Not forgetting any that are in your clean laundry

De-Clutter and Organise:

  1. Pair them all up
  2. Any with holes, either darn them today or recycle them
  3. Any not matched, either recycle them or reuse them

Organise:

  1. Sort them into piles for each person
  2. Put them back in the drawer*

* To sort them in your drawers you could buy fancy sock drawer liners, but they are expensive, or you could use this lovely idea over at Chez Larsson and use old ice creams tubs.

Now tell me, how odd socks did you find?

I know I need to do this. I have a few singles lying around the laundry area. Plus, my husband has far too many to fit into his sock bin.

I tend to buy 6 or 9 identical pairs of socks, which means that an odd sock is no big deal–it still makes a pair with any of the identical socks. So, I don’t hesitate to throw away socks that wear out one at a time.

In practice, though, it doesn’t make much difference. Once the socks in a cohort start to wear out, they all go pretty quickly.

My washing machine is horrendous for eating odd socks (yes, a bad laundrywoman always blames her washing machine). I have an infinite number of mismatched ones but I can’t bear to throw them away or do anything else with them just in case the other one miraculously turns up one day….you’re right though, it’s time to begin the cull!

Various spheres of life utilize a lot of time, thus why must we expend time for definition essay creating? It will be better to use some famous paper writing service to purchase the expository essay at, I guess.
