52 Simple Organising Projects: A Menu Plan

A different little project this week: doing a menu plan. There are a few ways you can menu plan, and there are any number of timescales you can use. I’m currently doing a four week plan, however I’ve tried every way going. It’s important to find a way that works for you. Whichever way you do it, more often than not it saves you time and money.

Ways to Menu Plan:

  • Shop first and menu plan
  • Menu plan and then shop
  • Menu plan from your cupboards
  • Use paper, online software or an online calendar like google calendar

For purposes of this very simple project we’re going to menu plan from our cupboards:

To start:

  • Do a cupboard/food inventory

De-Clutter:

  • Decide what food you want to use up

Organise:

  • Take a piece of paper and list days Monday-Sunday
  • Decide on a menu a day from your inventory
  • Place the menu plan in a prominent place in your kitchen
  • Make a separate list of any extra items you may need

That’s it. Let me know in the comments if you are already doing this, and what system you use.

Hi

I’m a week behind on this one but I’ve managed to put together a two week meal plan which only involves me buying eggs, cheese, milk and veg!
