It’s busy on the birthday front for us this weekend and I’m looking forward to a family meal on Sunday; it’s been a while since we were all together, so it should be fun.

There are the little things that I do daily without even thinking that would make me look frugal in peoples eyes; yet I still feel like a frugal learner; there are still so many things that I feel I can, and want to do.

I was thinking about the frugal things we do everyday, that have now become a habit.

The first thing I thought of was my obsession with turning electrical items off at the plug, which I do all the time {like a mad woman}, the second thing was our devotion to packed lunches.

This weekend I completed one of my very simple goals; I made Banana Bread.

This may not seem like much of a big deal, but I bought a loaf tin with the intention of making banana bread about five years ago……and it’s only now that I’ve finally made some; I can’t quite explain how significant it is [to me] that I feel my life has slowed down enough to want to bake.
