It’s been three months since I quit my job and so time for some reflection on the good, and the not so good of it so far.
The Good:
Time and Freedom. There is now time and freedom. This is by far the best thing to happen. There is now time to enjoy my family and time to enjoy my marriage. Previously my job impacted on me 7 days a week so I didn’t really have any respite. There is also time to cook, read and clear the clutter, but overall the best thing is having time for people and not feeling stressed because I don’t.
Now that spring has sprung and the outside is so much more inviting, I’ve developed an obsession with bike riding. This may be a passing fad so I’m going to try to pick up a cheap second hand one and see if I use it; bike riding has got to be more fun than walking
My target was to spend £50 a week/£200 for the four weeks from 18th February – 17th March and I spent £246.54; not too bad and a reduction on last month.
Crafting the lifestyle you want is not always easy; sometimes you have to put the {hard} work in to redress the over exuberance {!} of your earlier years; in my case this has been chronic over spending and chronic over eating.
I feel inspired to get things done this week; it’s the sunshine and Shoestring.
Each day I’m picking my three Most Important Tasks {MIT’s} and anything else I do after that is all good.
